Dahua & Imou

Dahua cameras — and Imou cameras, which are Dahua’s consumer brand — support FTP upload on most models, including the IPC, SD (PTZ), and doorbell series.

Set up FTP on your camera

In the web interface, go to Setup → Storage → FTP. In the DMSS or Imou Life app, go to Device settings → Storage → FTP. Set the remote directory to the name you want the camera to appear as in Lunetta.

Dahua FTP setup guide

Folder name

Set Remote directory to a name like garden or entrance. That name becomes the camera label in Lunetta. Use a different name for each camera.

Filename format

Dahua uploads files named like:

20260604143022.mp4
20260604143022.jpg

Timestamp format is YYYYMMDDHHMMSS without separators. Lunetta extracts the time from the filename.

Notes

  • Imou cameras use the same settings screen as Dahua — all instructions above apply.
  • Some Dahua models upload in .dav format, which browsers cannot play. If possible, switch your camera to upload in MP4 in the recording settings.
  • For Dahua NVRs, configure a separate remote directory per channel.
