Labels & search

Labels let you tag events so you can find them again later. A label is freeform text — use anything that makes sense for your situation: “delivery”, “cat”, “package”, “visitor”.

Adding a label

From the viewer

Open any event in the full-screen viewer. The label field is in the footer on the left side. Click it to edit. Press Enter or click away to save.

From the card

Hover over an event card and click the label area at the bottom of the thumbnail. An inline input appears. Type a label and press Enter.

Auto-suggestions

As you type, Lunetta suggests labels you’ve used before. Click a suggestion to apply it instantly.

Filtering by label

The filter bar at the top of the dashboard shows your existing labels as chips. Click one to filter the grid to only events with that label. Click again to deselect.

You can combine label filters with camera, type, and starred filters.

Bulk labeling

Select multiple events using the checkboxes, then click Label in the bulk action bar. Type a label and apply it to all selected events at once.

This is useful for labeling a batch of events retroactively — for example, after reviewing a day’s worth of footage.

Removing a label

Open the event in the viewer (or click the label on the card), clear the label field, and save. The label is removed from that event.

Searching

Lunetta doesn’t have a text search box, but label filtering works as a search. Assign consistent labels to events you want to find again, then use the label filter chips to retrieve them.

For date-based search, use the date range filter in the filter bar to narrow down events to a specific day or period.
